Understanding the EPC
What is an EPC?
Energy Performance Certificates (EPC`s) are required by law that an accurate assessment of the building’s overall CO2 emissions are calculated to be used to produce an overall A – G performance rating, reflecting the level of energy efficiency of both the building’s main fabric and installed Heating, Ventilation and Conditioning (HVAC) and lighting systems.
The Energy Performance Certificate will include a recommendation report detailing various ways in which building owners/occupiers can implement measures to improve current performance, along with an estimation of their associated pay back potential
